Your Knowing Is Rising. Let It Smolder.

You're not falling apart. You're burning clean.

There’s a moment I remember clearly. I was deep in my own healing, years into the work, practicing, teaching, holding space for others,  and I still found myself second-guessing what I knew in my bones.

It wasn’t that the knowing wasn’t there. It was. It always had been.

The problem was I had spent so long overriding it.

That’s karmic burn. Not punishment. Not cosmic consequence. Karmic burn is the ancient fire that surfaces what has lived too long in the dark: old patterns, old agreements, old wounds that have been passed down through lineages, lifetimes, and nervous systems. It is the burning away of what was never truly yours to carry. The unconscious, finally rising into the light so it can be seen, released, and allowed to breathe.

This is not a comfortable process, but it is a sacred one.

I see this constantly in the people I work with. Healers. Caregivers. Women who have spent decades being remarkably good at reading the room and remarkably bad at reading themselves. They come in exhausted in a way that sleep doesn’t fix. Carrying weight they can’t fully name, because some of it isn’t even theirs. It’s ancestral. It’s karmic. It’s the residue of wounds that never had a witness. And somewhere in the first conversation, they say some version of the same thing: I knew. I just didn’t trust what I knew.

That’s the wound we’re actually here to heal. Not the original wound, but the disconnection from the self that happened when we buried it.

This isn’t a knowledge problem. It’s a trust problem.

The soul isn’t quiet because it has nothing to say. It’s quiet because we’ve trained ourselves not to listen. Some of that training is personal,  the conditioning we accumulated in this lifetime.

Some of it is older. Much older. Ancient agreements about who gets to take up space, who gets to be seen, who gets to trust their own knowing. Karmic burn is what happens when those ancient contracts finally surface into consciousness. When what lived in the dark for generations begins to rise.

This is the invitation inside the discomfort: not to fix it, not to manage it, but to let it burn clean. To bring it into awareness, to witness it,  so it can finally be released. The breath is how we do this. The body is how we do this. Awareness itself is the fire.

The astrology right now is holding this wide open. Mars just met the North Node in Pisces -  soul-led action, spirit-guided movement, destiny that arrives through feeling rather than force. Jupiter just went direct in Cancer after five months of asking us what belonging actually feels like in our nervous system -  not in our heads, not in our stories, but in the body. Old wounds have had a chance to surface. What comes next is the release.

The question isn’t whether you know what you need. You do.
The question is whether you trust it enough to let the burning do its work.

Radical self-trust isn’t a mindset. It’s an embodied practice.

This is where I see the gap for so many people. They understand self-trust conceptually. They’ve read the books, done the journaling, know the language. But understanding and embodying are two different frequencies entirely. You can intellectually know that karmic burn is sacred and still brace against it when it comes for you.

Embodying your soul’s wisdom means learning to stay open when the ancient stuff rises. To breathe into what wants to surface instead of pushing it back down. To let the awareness itself be the release, because that’s how it works. You don’t burn karma by fighting it. You burn it by finally seeing it. By giving it air.

It means building a relationship with your body’s knowing that is so practiced, so familiar, that when the old patterns rise - and they will - you recognize them. Not as threats, but as teachers. As the next level of what’s been waiting to be released.

That’s the work. Not more information. More integration. More willingness to be present with what surfaces.

More mornings where you walk into the dark before the sun comes up, stay with what moves through you, and choose to let the burning be enough.

More moments where you catch yourself reaching for someone else’s opinion and you pause, drop in, breathe, and ask your own body first.

More willingness to let the karmic burn be the teacher instead of the punishment. The fire that clears instead of the fire that destroys.

Where we go from here

If any of this is landing in your body right now,  not just your mind, your body,  that’s the signal worth following.

This is the work I go deeper on every week in my Soul Letters. Real practices, honest reflections, and the kind of content that’s meant to be felt, not just read. If you want a weekly transmission that meets you where you actually are, subscribe below.

Your knowing is not the problem. Learning to live from it is the whole point.
